8th Reno Women’s March: Vote As If Lives Depends On It
Join thousands of others to make your voice heard! Stand up for women's rights, because women's rights are human rights.
Eight years ago, more than 10,000 Northern Nevadans converged on downtown Reno to vocalize their critical desire for equity for all women: indigenous women, women of color, LGBTQ+ women, daughters, mothers, sisters, aunts, and grandmothers. Women demand the same opportunities afforded to men. These marches nationwide, with millions of people participating, contributed to increased voter turnout and record numbers of women running for and being elected to political office.
It has evolved to an ongoing movement, because we continue to see women’s rights threatened and stripped away, related to gender equality, reproductive freedom, LGBTQ rights, racial equality, and more
The March will begin at the Federal Building and flow into Believe Plaza. We are foregoing speakers to 100% focus on getting Northern Nevadans to the polls. October 19 marks the first day of early voting and attendees will be encouraged to head a few blocks over to the Reno Downtown Library to drop off their ballots or cast their votes.
Join us! Everyone is welcome.
